"I took my first Bikram Yoga class back in the year 2000. As a neophyte, I arrived for the session dressed in sweatpants, with a horse-blanket for my yoga mat.
Making it through that initiation was a major accomplishment. From there I continued a regular practice to compliment my training for competitive long distance running.
By 2007 my reliance on Bikram Yoga had evolved into a daily routine and I enrolled in and completed the Bikram Yoga Teacher Training program.
What sustains me now is that I believe every class is an accomplishment and has rewards. I get that as a practitioner and I observe that as a teacher through the students. Brand new students and the vastly experienced."
