I like to say my roommate tricked me into taking my first hot yoga class in 2010. I had no idea what to expect and I was so drained afterwards that I couldn't walk the 6 blocks home. After a few days of rehydrating, I found myself wanting more. Fast forward to the spring of 2014 and I was practicing daily and loving it. I found that yoga was one of the only things that could quiet my racing thoughts. It also gained me an appreciation and acceptance of my body which is something that I have always struggled with. I decided to go to teacher training in 2014 to expand my understanding of the series and to get a much needed break from my full time consulting job. I started teaching after that and have never looked back. During quarantine, I attended Inferno Hot Pilates teacher training and started teaching right away.  My favorite thing about teaching is the inclusivity of the practice and of the yoga community: students of all ages, genders, races, abilities, and body types, all benefit in their own ways from the practice. When I'm not in the hot room, I can be found teaching flying trapeze or running around with my amazing toddler. I love being outside, playing games, reading books, wearing cozy onesies, and weird animal facts. I am so excited to join the Minneapolis Yoga community!
