Julie Hurturbise

My interest in teaching yoga began in an elementary school fifteen years ago. At that time, I wanted my students to have the skills to self calm but also the awareness to move their bodies in space while navigating both the Montessori Classroom as well as during recess and all of its unpredictability. Personally, I have practiced many types of yoga over the last 20 years and have found that this series most reflects my philosophy in life. With an emphasis on the opposing forces of Sthira and Sukha.

For effort and ease, as well as the notion that we are all eternal and evolving, I want to provide a space for each student to connect to an inner knowing both in the studio and long after class has ended.
