I went to my first Bikram class in Miami Beach, Fl in 2001 and wasn't sure what to think after such an intense experience, but I knew I felt amazing and was curious.  After experimenting with a variety of yoga styles, I returned to Bikram yoga in Houston, Tx in 2004 and have been practicing regularly ever since.  I moved to the Twin Cities in 2014 and immediately started practicing at both the St. Paul and Minneapolis Bikram studios.

Bikram yoga has been a constant and stabilizing force in my life, and continuously teaches me about myself in the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual realms.  Through the practice of this yoga, I have learned about acceptance, breathing, stillness, resolve, humor, determination, focus, joy, presence, grounding, frustration, peace, strength, resilience, love, friendship, patience, and it has helped me navigate through my life and work outside of the yoga room in so many profound ways.  Not to mention, I just feel so good after 90 minutes of sweating and working my body in the postures!

A silver lining of the Covid pandemic for me was Martha and Eric Williams' offering a Minneapolis Yoga Teacher Training.  I graduated from the training in June of 2021 and am excited to continue learning about this yoga, the body, and about myself and others as I begin to guide people through their yoga practices.  I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to keep the teaching tradition of Bikram yoga going for others to discover what they might learn through their own practice, and for this inspiring, dedicated, amazing community of people to practice with, and to learn from!!  Thank you MPLS Yoga community!!!
