When I walked into the St. Paul Bikram studio over a decade ago I had no idea my life would be forever changed. It required more physical and mental focus than any form of exercise I had done in the past. I couldn’t run any longer due to an injury and this was the only thing I felt matched running’s effects for me. I felt amazing after and I was in love!
Being born with just part of my right arm means that I need to continuously work on maintaining symmetry in my body. This series is the only form of exercise I have found that helps me accomplish symmetry, alignment, and strength on both sides, left and right. This is not just physical and mental exercise however, this Yoga has helped me grow emotionally and spiritually as well.
I discovered Inferno Hot Pilates a few years ago and these classes have added even more value to my Yoga practice. We all need cardio fitness, strength, and flexibility. Pilates is the perfect compliment to Yoga so we can achieve all of the above.
Teaching Yoga and Pilates is joyous. I am an Occupational Therapist by trade and love to help people achieve optimal health. I feel grateful in every class I teach that I get to do it!
